Consumers' guide to hiring a plumber

by The Editor at 10:56 11/12/06 (News)
A free guide to help members of the public ensure they choose a professional plumber for jobs around the home has been launched by a Southampton businessman.
The guide, which is available free of charge, covers topics such as how to avoid being ripped off by plumbers, mistakes to avoid when choosing a plumbing and drainage company , 'tricks of the trade', and what the benefits of good service can be.

Allan Rook, managing director of Drain Doctor Plumbing, which has compiled the guide said: "Choosing a plumber that is reputable and honest can be a bit tricky when faced with so many to choose from. That is the reasoning behind this guide.

"We want to raise awareness of what people should expect from a plumber. Things such as guarantees of work and after sales service are vitally important but may not always be considered.

"By following this guide people will have a much better understanding of what to look for in a plumber. This could save them a lot of hassle and money."

To listen to the free recorded message call 0800 977 8260 or to request a copy of the brochure call 02380 333312.
