Legal notice - terms and conditions

by The Editor at 12:51 22/05/18 (About Hardhatter)
Hardhatter is an online network for small businesses - and those who work with them - in the construction industry. The network is free to join and you are free to leave at any time. This notice sets out the terms under which the network operates.
Membership or registration fees
There is no charge to join Hardhatter or to register as a user.

What happens when you register?
You are asked for your real name, your choice of username, an e-mail address and a password hint question and answer. Upon submission of this information the system automatically issues a randomly generated initial password to the email address provided and you can choose to subscribe to the Hardhatter Newsletter mailing list (see below). This password, amongst other things, may be changed once you have logged in successfully after you have received the email. If you are not already a subscriber to the Hardhatter mailing list, a separate email is sent containing information about the e-mail newsletter and how to unsubscribe.

The email address associated with your account is the address used to deliver information to you from time to time as part of the site's normal operation (eg any email subscriptions that may exist, any notifications of replies to content you may have posted and so on).
